One of the difficult things in a side hustle is staying motivated and disciplined long enough to start getting some traction on your new business.
A big tip from me is to OD on motivational speakers 🙂 When I was starting out I would have Anthony Robbins, Jim Rohn, Robert Kiyosaki, Les Brown playing all the time. When I was walking on the beach, in the gym, going on a car journey, the commute to work – you get the picture.
You need to do whatever you can to stay on track with your side hustle. Enlist the help of friends, when you’ve finished this schedule, share the schedule with your friends and ask them to keep you accountable to it.
Better still get yourself in a Mastermind Group – that will help keep you on track and be supported by amazing individuals along your journey.
One thing is for sure. If you don’t put in the hours with your side hustle, your new business is not going to happen. That doesn’t mean killing yourself, you can have a perfectly balanced life whilst you do this, you just have to stay disciplined with your schedule.
If you are working full time that means working evenings and weekends to help move yourself from “working for the man” to having the business and life you desire.
The exercise below is designed to help you keep accountable and to help you keep motivated with your side hustle. Take the time to do this (both parts of the exercise) because it will show you what you are moving from and moving towards. And PLEASE take the time to share your experiences, ask a question or make a comment. And if this exercise helps you let us know, we LOVE to get your feedback.
